About the Martinborough Winter Celebration
Pour & Explore is a winter campaign created to bring warmth and vitality to Martinborough during the traditionally quiet month of August. In its second year, this initiative is designed to support local businesses, foster community connection, and establish a distinctive seasonal identity for the town and the wider South Wairarapa district.
We acknowledge the significant support received from South Wairarapa District Council to bring this celebration to life, and foster economic growth.
Through a vibrant series of events, activations, and immersive experiences, Pour & Explore invites residents and visitors to rediscover everything that makes our region extraordinary — from local food and world-class wine to art, music, culture, and the spirit of community.
By uniting local businesses, artists, food and wine producers, and community groups, this initiative celebrates Martinborough’s creativity, sustainability, and resilience. Our goal is to transform the winter "off-season" into a time of connection, pride, and economic stimulation.
